History of the SACCO

Patnas Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Limited (formerly Bureti Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Ltd) is located in Bureti District and operates branch offices in Sotik and Konoin Districts. It was registered on March 2, 1990 (CSNo.5932) with an initial membership of 133 and a share capital of Kshs.64,000. The society began with BOSA activities and later introduced FOSA in 1998 with 94 account holders. The SACCO rebranded to Patnas SACCO Society Ltd in May 2014.

Today, the SACCO has over 27,000 members and an Asset Base of over KES 600 millionKES 200 million in deposits.
